Destination Wedding Photographer Tuscany / A stunning destination wedding in the American Church of Florence

What Becki and Divesh planned for their destination wedding in Tuscany was more than a wedding day: it was a stunning complete experience!

This sweet couple comes from London. Becki and her family are British Protestants, while Divesh’s family comes from India – therefore, they had a stunning two-days wedding with two wedding ceremonies, a Protestant one in the American Church of Florence and a gorgeous Indian Wedding the next day.

I am sure you will love it! At the end of the post, you will see the link to Day II: an amazing Indian Wedding in the Tuscan Countryside.

Enjoy!

What I love the most about my job is to see the beauty of the world, and to experience the lives and tales of different cultures, religions, people.

I loved Becki and Divesh’s wedding in particular: two days of celebration, a romantic and touching Protestant Wedding, and a bright, colorful Indian one!

My day with them started at the amazing Villa Catureglio, where Divesh got ready. That would have been the venue of the evening party and the Indian Wedding the following day, and I loved every corner of it!

Villa Catureglio is in Lucca, so after having photographed Divesh and his friends and relatives I reached Florence where Becki was getting ready. They rented a lovely apartment by the river Arno, and the emotion was in the air.

They got married in the American Church of Florence, the St. James Episcopal Church – by the way, that’s the Church where Mr. David Bowie and Iman got married as well!

The wedding was celebrated by the bride’s grandfather, who is a Protestant pastor. The family connection was undeniable and made it all even more special.

After the ceremony, Becki and Divesh rode a FIAT 500 up to the hills of Florence, and we got to Piazzale Michelangelo for some romantic couple portraits.

As we got back to Villa Catureglio, the newlyweds had a super fun pizza party & henna to get ready for the Indian Wedding the following day.
