Wedding Photographer Bali / An Amazing adventure

Traveling the world is what I have missed the most during this pandemic year 2020. So now, at the beginning of January 2021, my heart is drawn back to one of the most beautiful experiences of my career as a wedding photographer: this incredible Destination Wedding in Bali.

It feels like yesterday when Maggy and Filippo wrote me an enthusiastic email, confirming my role as their wedding photographer in Bali, Indonesia, and in Italy the following month. 30 hours flight, four days on the Island of the Gods, and one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. Enjoy!

Filippo, the groom, was born in Italy but has lived in Asia for the past ten years.
Maggy, the bride, has Chinese and Indonesian origins and has lived all around the world working as an entrepreneur.

They met and fell in love in Jakarta, where they live now. Filippo proposed to Maggy in Bali, on a beach at sunset – Bali is the home of their love escapes, as it is very close to Jakarta. So, obviously, what could have been a better location for a stunning destination wedding with guests coming from all over the world?

As my airplane landed in Bali, I went out to dinner with Filippo, Bali, and their closest family members. Italy and Indonesia met over a bowl of spaghetti, that was just the perfect start!

The following day we all moved to the amazing Villa Lalaland , an architectural masterpiece surrounded by the rice fields of Canggu. That place was simply stunning and hosted the getting ready of the couple and their after-party.

The wedding day started with Filippo and Maggy’s getting ready in Villa Lalaland: they were together with their closest friends and parents, and it was such a special moment.

Then, we moved to the wedding ceremony and reception venue, another beautiful piece by the same architect of Villa Lalaland – Villa Wonderland in Uluwatu.

Maggy and Filippo had an amazing Protestant Ceremony on the cliff. The setup was just stunning and their emotion was so true and vivid!

After the ceremony, we had some group and couple portrait (even though we shot most of them the following day), and then we had a gorgeous picnic-style dinner. Same as for the ceremony, the setup was simply stunning with such a tropical vibe!

After the dinner, Maggy sang for the guests and we headed back to Lalaland for the after party. What an incredible wedding day, and what an amazing experience!

Here, you can find some of the couple portraits we shot the day after the wedding:
