Wedding Locanda Cipriani Venice – A Wedding in the truest Venice
The wedding I am publishing today is very special to me. Not only it had spectacular locations, a couple so in love that you could feel it, and two lovely baby girls – one in their arms, the other still in the belly! It was special to me because of the bride, my lovely Martina, dear friend and helper of Cristiana from Weds Cris!
A very beautiful wedding, on a sunny and warm first of October. Enjoy 😀
Location: Church Madonna dell’Orto, Venezia; Locanda Cipriani, Torcello
Photographer: Selene Pozzer

At 9 a.m. I was at Martina’s family home, close to Venice. She got ready there, together with her family and friends – all watched and supervised by baby Mireille, of course!
Then I went to the house Martina and Matteo share in Venice, where he was finishing getting ready.
Later we walked to the amazing Church of Madonna dell’Orto. It is one of the pearls of the Venice Gothic style; a Fourteenth Century church, famous for its architecture and frescoes. Needless to say, keeping the curious and tourists out during the wedding was not easy at all!
You could really feel Martina and Matteo’s emotion, together on the altar after many years of relationship. Then, the fact that they kept their baby Mireille in their arms during the whole exchange of the rings and vows was really magical!
After the ceremony, we jumped into Martina’s dad’s water taxi to go to Burano. Among the colorful streets and the garden and terrace of a historical Merletto factory, we had our couple shooting, an intimate moment after the excitement of the ceremony.
Later we went to the amazing Isola del Torcello, where Locanda Cipriani is located. That was the stunning location of the reception. Needless to say, that was an absolutely magical place: people like Charlie Chaplin, Ernest Hemingway, Princess Diana and Quentin Tarantino spent lovely hours there, and left their mark.
The garden party was followed by a great lunch, then we had some other couple photos around the Island.
After the party at the Locanda, spouses, and guests went on a party boat, prepared for the occasion with a DJ, open bar, and a tour of the lagoon.
A really unique wedding, in the truest and unforgettable Venice.
