The Basilica Palladiana, the masterpiece of the worldwide famous architect Andrea Palladio and Unesco Heritage, is probably the symbol of Vicenza in the world.

Michela and Adam’s one was the first wedding ever celebrated in the higher terrace of the Basilica, a unique and exclusive location for a wedding that will not be easily forgotten!

It was a real honor for me to photograph such a spectacular event.

Michela and Adam’s love is touchable, and so is the love they feel for their children Sveva, who is 7, and Ethan, just 10 months old. A beautiful family that has joined in a unique celebration, a Protestant Wedding in one of the most spectacular terraces of the world.

Here’s the story of Michela and Adam’s special day. Enjoy!

My day with Michela and Adam began at their home in Vicenza. There Adam wore his uniform, as the military code requires for official ceremonies. And what can be more official than your own wedding?

After his getting ready, Michela went back home where she put on her makeup and got dressed together with two of her bridesmaids.
Her children stayed with her for the whole time; it was lovely to see baby Ethan running towards his mom, right when she was about to put on her wedding dress!

The ceremony took place on the higher terrace of the Basilica Palladiana at 5 pm. Five bridesmaids in long, red dresses and five groomsmen in their uniforms – definitely awesome!

As a surprise for Adam, Michela asked a violinist to open the bridal party on the notes of John Legend’s All of Me.

Adam, the celebrant, and the groomsmen followed. Then, it was up time for Michela’s bridesmaids, the two flower girls and, finally, the bride.

Michela was stunning in her white wedding dress and having her entrance done in such an atmosphere and such a location as the Basilica left everyone breathless (me included!)

The wedding was celebrated by an American Pastor. It was really felt and intimate; you could really feel Adam and Michela’s emotion. It was a magical, unique moment.

After the exchange of the rings, heart-shaped balloons and white petals were thrown; a great beginning of a party!

The wedding dinner and the party took place on the terrace of the Basilica as well. After the dinner, to accompany the cutting of the cake, Michela asked an opera singer to sing them a song, together with the violin and double bass.

The super romantic moment of the first dance followed. Bride and groom, close together, the Palladian architecture, the night of Vicenza… Well, it was a unique moment!

After the party, before going home, we had some couple photos shot in Piazza dei Signori, right in front of the Basilica.

The perfect ending to a fairytale wedding. Congratulations! ?
