Venice to me is like the love story of your life.
Sometimes it’s bright and sunny, sometimes it gets darker and moody… But it’s still the love of your life.
When I shoot a wedding, I want to interpret the people I meet, and I want to tell their day at best. Sometimes it’s sunny, sometimes it’s cloudy and foggy – but still, it’s a story worth telling.
Here is Patrica and Ander’s one, who got married in the crypt of the Church of San Marco and celebrated their wedding party at the historical Hotel Danieli. Enjoy!
All wedding days are unique, and so are their colors, their atmosphere, and naturally, the people involved.
Patricia and Ander are a lovely Spanish couple who fell in love with Venice and decided to have their wedding celebrated in the stunning Crypt of the Church of San Marco.
Very few weddings take place in the crypt of San Marco every year and the atmosphere you can breathe is fascinating.
Centuries of history, thousands of people who walked these steps down to that hidden part of the church… It’s just amazing.
Their day is Venice wasn’t bright, wasn’t sunny, but it was stunning nevertheless.
Venice has this power: it is perfect and inspiring in all seasons.
I arrived with Patricia and her family in a water taxi and the emotion was in the air. You can see it bu looking at her eyes while walking the aisle!
The ceremony was a typical Catholic wedding, it was very intimate and deeply felt.
After the ceremony, we had a lovely couple shooting around Venice, enjoying its channels via a water taxi.
Then, we reached the rest of the wedding party in the magnificent hotel Danieli. There, they all enjoyed an aperitif in the lower hall.
Luckily, by the end of the day, the weather was getting a little warmer so the bride and groom, together with their friends and family, could enjoy the best view of the city.
They had their wedding dinner organized in the Terrace of Hotel Danieli, just two steps away from San Marco – and the view you get from there, well, you will never forget it!
