Catholic Wedding in Venice – A Beautiful Wedding in the Church of Redentore

From Switzerland with Love for a beautiful Destination Wedding!

Sarah and Adriano’s families come from Italy, even though the two of them were born and raised in Switzerland. A Wedding day that is also a connection to the couple’s origins: I love that!

A wonderful day perfectly planned by Weds Cris. Enjoy!

They say a wedding is always a journey – in this case, as for all destination weddings, it literally is!

Sarah and Adriano decided to celebrate their wedding in style and chose Venice, and the church of Redentore in particular, for a beautiful, special reason.

In fact, Sarah’s father was born in Venice, while her mother was born in Switzerland. They met as her father moved to Switzerland, but they got married in a destination wedding in Venice as well, many years ago.
They actually got married in that same church, the Church of Redentore, back in the 70s.
They are still together and still madly in love – so yes, apparently that church brings good luck!

The bride and groom’s getting ready was in the same location as the evening party. The couple rented the whole Villa Franceschi, a wonderful Seventeenth Century Villa del Brenta in the land side of Venice.
Close enough to the city, but totally immersed in the green fields – a perfect choice for a wedding weekend!

While Adriano went to the church with all the guests via private boat, Sarah put on her stunning Pronovias dress in an intimate, touching moment with her mother. Her first look with her dad was so emotional!

They reached the Church of Redentore via water taxi. Her entrance with her father was so beautiful, the whole church was in tears!

After the ceremony, the newlyweds had a private taxi tour of Venice, while the friends had some party on the larger boat.

They all met back at Villa Franceschi where they had a great dinner outdoor (the temperature was just perfect), followed by a great party!

Congrats to this beautiful couple!
